It isn't such a big world after all . . .

Somewhere out there . . . . .
is a man in Moscow, Russia
who writes wonderful , marvelous music -

                                                        "Sir Mike"
                                                                                              Michael Sirotkin

                                                                                              and here he is!
I wrote to ask Michael a little about him and his music, and received an instant reply from him on December 6, 2001:

"I must say that my picture from CD is quite old.  The photo was made in 1973 ( the gun is real, but turned upside down).

I attached a more recent photo to this message.

I was born in 1950 in Moscow.  Music always was my hobby.  My first school rock group "Centaurs" started in 1966.  Now I'm a programmer and make music with my PC at home (when I have time for it)."

Being a foreign language nut, and having studied Russian for 2 years, able to speak, read and write some, I was curious to know if Michael spoke English or had a translation program for his e-mail.  Below is his note.  Looks like awfully good English to me!  My Russian would be much worse!!!  Lin

"I can read and write English, maybe making mistakes.  Every PC user must know English, I think.  I have no practice in speaking English. That's why my messages can look short  and "dry". Please, excuse me if my message looks like machine-translated.  No, I write it myself in my poor bad English.

My best regards!
Michael.
